The Opposite House Collaborates With Harrods To Open The Harrods Residence Suite
The partnership between the award-winning hotel and the iconic London retailer introduces a newly designed, two-storey suite at The Opposite House in Beijing.
Beijing, 21 March 2023 – The Opposite House, a part of The House Collective by Swire Hotels, has collaborated with the world’s leading luxury department store Harrods to launch The Harrods Residence Suite, the retailer’s first hotel suite in Asia. Together, the two likeminded brands are bringing the quintessential Harrods experience to guests at The Opposite House in Beijing.
The two-storey suite which is located on the fifth and sixth floors of the hotel features an open plan dining and living space, a private spacious terrace overlooking Beijing’s most fashionable neighbourhood, and a specially designed relaxation zone which has been incorporated into the bedroom. Guests will be offered curated experiences such as private dining offerings and a bespoke Harrods afternoon tea, and will also return home with iconic collectibles from the classic Harrods teddy bear to Champagne from the store’s famous food halls in Knightsbridge.
From tailored in-room comforts to exclusive food and beverage offerings by The Opposite House, the suite will provide a unique and experiential stay where guests can be transported to the luxury British experience right in the heart of Beijing. The experience will be further elevated by the House’s inspired dining, whether it is Michelin-starred fine Chinese cuisine at Jing Yaa Tang, regional classics at modern Italian eatery Frasca or electric vibes at casual Sichuan restaurant Superfly. Union, their cocktail bar embodies the spirit of 1920s modernism and guests can savour Silk Road inspired cocktails over thoughtful conversations.

To celebrate the opening of The Harrods Residence Suite, The Opposite House is launching a special offer including bespoke Harrods welcome amenities, delicious in-room breakfast, and Silk Road inspired cocktails at modern-day salon and bar Union.
