THE HOUSE COLLECTIVE

A Sensational Week to Remember in Singapore

After a few long years apart, The House Collective reconnected with friends in Singapore during ILTM International Luxury Travel Market Asia Pacific 2022. We brought our signature experiences to the Garden City, including the first-ever Salisterra pop-up by Chef Cary Docherty hosted in collaboration with 1880, a preview of The House Collective Cultural Story, a special edition of #UpCloseWith and The Upper House Run Club.

The exclusive Salisterra pop-up at 1880 was without a doubt the highlight of the week. The three-course dinner gave guests a view into the Salisterra culinary experience and wine pairings curated by our House sommelier. The evening was filled with laughter and good conversation, and made altogether sweeter with the chance to catch up with Heavy Hitters, friends in the media and travel agent partners. At the end of dinner, we surprised everyone with this year’s sustainable, curio box-inspired mooncake box set – a treat that the guests all loved.
The after party was one to remember. The room at 1880’s Double Bar filled quickly with guests chatting, cocktails in hand. The bartenders were kept busy, shaking up a selection of cocktails from our four Houses that featured The Wood Room by The Opposite House, TaMartini by The Upper House, Pepper Bazaar by The Temple House and Shanghai Coffee Highball by The Middle House. Drinks and conversation flowed freely – as both old friends and new caught up over the good times they’ve had at our Houses, chatting both nostalgically yet excitedly about visiting again. It was an evening of many memorable moments, and just the start of all the new memories with The House Collective to come.

Over the rest of the week, Singapore got a taste of our signature events and a special collaboration dinner. The Upper House Run Club hit the road on a route along the Singapore River with Lululemon Ambassador Ling ER, Singapore's top triathlete. Our conversation series #UpCloseWith, moderated by Marc Nicholson (founder of 1880), hosted “The Future of Luxury Travel” to discuss the comeback of global travel, with panellists including our own Dean Winter. Finally as the capstone event of the week, Chef Cary partnered with 1880's Executive C hef Colin Buchan for a four-hands dinner of inspired gastronomy that championed the seasonal and the sublime.
