Swire Hotels Announces Senior Leadership Transitions Across The House Collective And EAST Brands

Hong Kong, April 2021 – Swire Hotels is thrilled to announce several members of their hotel management team across The House Collective and EAST brands are stepping into new roles in 2021. Kristina Snaith-Lense, Olivier Dumonceaux and Giovanni Beretta have all been with the company for numerous years, working across multiple cities and exemplifying Swire Hotels’ core value of commitment to its people in order to prosper.

Swire Hotels believes in finding the best people and nurturing them to build long standing careers within our organization. Kristina Snaith-Lense has worked with the brand for nearly 10 years, starting her career with the company as the Assistant Director of Guest Experience at The Upper House in 2012. Dedicated to delivering exceptional service, Kristina passionately led the Guest Experience team with tremendous success. In 2017, she spearheaded the pre-opening operations of The Middle House in Shanghai as the hotel manager, before returning to Hong Kong in 2019 to take on the role of hotel manager at The Upper House. Rising to the position of General Manager in 2021, Kristina will oversee all aspects of The Upper House and Pacific Place Apartments.

“I have the great fortune to spend my day with some really amazing people, be that my team, our guests and also our brand partners. What’s so special about hotel operations and continues to be what I love the most is that every day is different and brings the unexpected. There is the adrenaline that goes with putting on a show and just a touch of drama that is associated in responding to ad hoc situations. To me The House Collective embodies creating highly personalised experiences for our guests, defined by people who have gone the extra mile to deliver that to you, with whom I am extremely grateful to spend time with each day.” says Kristina Snaith-Lense, newly appointed GM at The Upper House.

Starting his hospitality journey in Lyon, France, Olivier Dumonceaux has worked across nine countries giving him exceptional experience, which has helped him thrive at Swire. Following the success of The Opposite House’s impressive renovation, where he has been the hotel manager since 2018, Olivier was promoted earlier this year in January where he became the property’s General Manager. Olivier joined the Swire Hotels team in 2014 as the Director of R&B at The Temple House, and was then promoted to Executive Assistant Manager after working to secure the success of the award-winning property’s opening. His dynamic working style will help him excel in this new role as General Manager at The Opposite House.

“Our people are our heart and soul of the brand, I am very honoured to be leading a team that is full of passion and ideas. Now with the completed renovations of the property and opening of the new restaurants and bars, my team and I are excited to deliver exceptional service for our guests and create a unique experience in Beijing.”  says Olivier Dumonceaux, newly appointed GM at The Opposite House.

With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Giovanni Beretta has been a tremendous asset to Swire Hotels since joining the brand as the General Manager of EAST Miami and Vice President of Swire Hotels in the U.S. in 2015. In early 2021, Giovanni will be relocating with his family to Hong Kong as the new Group Director of Operations.
“My family and I are excited to get to know yet another part of the world, with such a rich history and culture. I am also particularly looking forward to working together with my colleagues in Asia as we continue to expand the two different flags within Swire Hotels with the utmost care for each brand’s unique proposition and high standards, all the while having a lot fun doing it!” says Giovanni Beretta.

As the Group Director of Operations, Giovanni will expand his scope of responsibilities, overseeing all hotels and restaurants in Hong Kong, China mainland and Miami. Among his capabilities for success in this new role is his fluency in five languages, experience with business and resort properties, as well as luxury hotels with private residences across multiple continents.

Andres Garcia will continue as Hotel Manager at EAST Miami, overseeing all aspects of the property. Andres joined Swire Hotels as EAST Miami’s Hotel Manager in 2017, where he has been in charge of all operations, including EAST’s incredible R&B spaces: the signature Uruguayan restaurant, Quinto La Huella, and award-winning rooftop destinations, Sugar and Tea Room.

“At Swire Hotels, we believe in taking the time to nurture our incredible team and work closely on their personal growth, which in turn reflects the success we have had within The House Collective and EAST Hotel brands,” said Dean Winter, Managing Director at Swire Hotels. “Kristina, Olivier, Giovanni and Andres have all shown a tremendous amount of passion and dedication in their respective roles, providing great insights across properties as we continue the growth of our brands. We are eager to see what unique qualities each of them will bring to these new positions.”
