The Shop presents by FANG Atelier
Experience the refined craftsmanship and design of by FANG at The Middle House. It reflects a modern lifestyle and breaks the boundary between traditional craftsmanship and art, taking you on a journey of exploration in couture design.
The Shop at The Middle House first opened in April 2020 and since then has featured a number of brands, giving guests and the community direct access to the fashion pulse of Shanghai.
Fashion and lifestyle brands such as Chinoises, Mumu, the Shanghairen and French Dragon and jewelry brands like YI Collection and HdM Gallery have exhibited their wares and their design inspiration. Farfetch and LOEWE also took part in The Shop, creating galleries and interactive exhibitions for guests to engage.
Next to be featured at The Shop project is by FANG from 14 October to 13 December. The exhibition is a reflection of a modern lifestyle by independent designer brand by FANG at. Yang Fang, the designer, breaks the boundary between traditional craftmanship and art, taking visitors on a journey of exploration of unparalleled fine craftmanship and intensively creative intellection integrated in couture design.
Winding pleats, 3D embroidery inspired by origami and the elegant cutting, all serve to present feminine charm and uniqueness.
Born in China, Yang Fang studied Fashion at ESMOD in Pairs where she built a family and crafted her first prêt à porter collections. She returned to her birth land in 2013 to establish her fashion house by FANG. Fang’s experience of living in both Asia and Europe provides her with constant inspiration from these different cultures.
Collections of couture Atelier by FANG debuted in 2019 Paris Couture Week and often show up in international pop-ups in Los Angeles, Paris, Dubai and so on. Many A-list celebrities, such as Eva Longoria, Gong Li and Yang Mi, have worn Yang Fang’s design for special occasions or art activities.
