Alvin, the talented mixology of Sugar, made his way to the Top 6 at the World Class Competition Hong Kong & Macau 2021 with his creation - When Life Gives You and Sansational. 

 

Alvin, the talented mixology of Sugar, made his way to the Top 6 at the World Class Competition Hong Kong & Macau 2021 earlier in May. 

Seeking inspiration from new happenings, new trends in daily life and from collective memories, he has created two cocktails for the competition – When Life Gives You and Sansational.

Coriander was one of Alvin’s least favourite food when he was a child, but these days, it has become quite the opposite. It represents changes and growth in Alvin’s life. Made with Tanqueray No. Ten Gin, which Coriander is a highlight among all the botanicals, When Life Gives You tastes sour, sweet and spicy, just like a life journey.

Sandlewood is one of Alvin’s favourite incense and scent and is something that is always used for meditation, religious rituals and even medication. Made with Johnnie Walker blended whisky, Sansational is a highball that combines the fragrance and woody note from sandalwood as well as the aromatic and the earthy note from bergamot tea. It aims to give a calmness and refreshment to guests.
