Mi Xun Teahouse retains one star and Chengdu’s only MICHELIN Green Star, while Tivano earns recognition for the fifth consecutive year
Chengdu, September 2025 – The Temple House is proud to announce its continued achievements in the prestigious MICHELIN Guide Chengdu 2026. Mi Xun Teahouse has retained its coveted one MICHELIN Star for the fifth consecutive year and is once again honoured to hold Chengdu’s only MICHELIN Green Star, acknowledging its leadership in sustainable gastronomy. Additionally, Tivano celebrates its fifth consecutive year as a MICHELIN-Selected restaurant, further cementing The Temple House’s reputation as a culinary landmark in Chengdu.

Mi Xun Teahouse — One MICHELIN Star and Chengdu’s Only Green Star
Located in the historic Zhanghuali building, Mi Xun Teahouse is celebrated for elegant vegetarian dining and its commitment to sustainability. Under Chef Steven, the farm-to-table menus feature ingredients sourced from farms near giant panda habitats—a long-term collaboration that supports local farmers while promoting responsible practices. “Sustainability has always been at the heart of what we do at Mi Xun Teahouse. We continue to work closely with local farms near giant panda habitats, planning our seasonal menus together to ensure the freshest ingredients while championing the community and protecting the environment. It’s incredibly rewarding to see this approach recognised by the MICHELIN Guide,” says Chef Steven.


To showcase this philosophy, Chef Steven has newly launched his Autumn farm-to-table Michelin Tasting Menu, which transforms seasonal abundance into elegant vegetarian creations. The menu incorporates zero-waste kitchen practices and thoughtful pairings of eco-friendly teas and local wines, reflecting both culinary innovation and a deep respect for the environment.


Tivano — MICHELIN-Selected for the Fifth Consecutive Year
With its open grill and stone-fired pizza oven, Tivano brings authentic Italian flavours to Chengdu with modern flair. To celebrate its fifth consecutive MICHELIN honour, Chef Riccardo Baronchelli presents a refreshed Discovery Menu. Inspired by the flavours of fall and early winter, as well as his home region of Lombardy, the menu features elegant, soulful dishes that showcase the season’s bounty.
