A Café Gray Deluxe Pop Up in New York
Earlier in August, we partnered with Cathay Pacific Airways and Chef Gray Kunz to host a Café Gray Deluxe Pop Up in New York City for our media friends, trade partners and VIP guests.
The event was hosted at The Liberty Warehousein Brooklyn, a spectacular venue overlooking the New York Harbour and the only place in New York where the Statue of Liberty is face front! The evening kicked off with the New York Water Taxi shuttling our guests directly from Manhattan to the venue where they were warmly greeted by Cathay Pacific crew and served some bubbly and cocktails upon their arrival.
It was a truly unique dining experience, complete with a ‘New York’ themed menu specially designed for the event by Chef Gray Kunz himself. The menu was carefully crafted by Chef Gray who wanted to ensure that all the ingredients were sourced sustainably and locally, which has always been the heart of Café Gray Deluxe. This meant that the chicken was pasture-raised from upstate New York’s Herondale farm, the plums were from Hudson Valley and the black sea bass was also local to New York. To complement the dishes, the wines were also sourced from New York wineries to pair with the food. Having a Café Gray Deluxe Pop Up in New York was in a way poetic, as New York was where Café Gray was first conceptualized and created before making its way to Hong Kong and Shanghai.
We definitely can’t wait to see where the next Café Gray Deluxe Pop Up will be!
