PURE SELF EXPRESSION

There’s a reason why art flows through everything at Swire Hotels. Art, in all its beautiful forms, is perhaps the greatest expression of one person’s individuality. Behind every art piece is a story of individuality that we so proudly celebrate. You’ll find art through every room and reception, in The House Collective's "Encounters Across Cultures" and EAST art programme. You'll even find it in the individual properties themselves, reflected in the work of the world's leading architects and interior designers.

  • BEIJING MEMORY NO. 2, LI XIAO FENG

Hubei artist Li Xiao Feng’s playful, life-size “wearable art” is a homage to history. A sculpture made of shattered blue-and-white porcelain pieces from the Ming and Qing dynasty that were found in a construction site, this one-and-only art piece at the Opposite House is a reminder that what was once lost can be re-found and re-invented.

  • THE MYTH OF STARS, MAN FUNG YI

This intimate piece by Hong Kong artist Man Fung Yi at The Upper House welcomes guests as they ascend towards their room. Its comforting pillow-like form and ageless metal texture together create a sense of gentle serenity.

  • SEEDS, DANNY LEE

Inside the Mixun Spa Courtyards at The Temple House are two pairs of stone sculpture seats by Hong Kong artist Danny Lee. “Seeds” in black Shanxi granite and “White Lotus” in Chinese white marble, together they are yin and yang, capturing nature in stone, and offering guests somewhere cool and serene to sit in the gardens as part of their spa journey.

  • FIRE OVER FIRE, LINDY LEE

Hanging over the fireplace at The Middle House are Chinese-Australian artist Lindy Lee's paintings. Using a joss stick as her ‘paintbrush’, Lindy perforates small holes across the surface of the paper, making each piece a textural meditation on fire and reflection on her Chinese heritage.
