BRIAN WILLIAMS

Managing Director, Swire Hotels

Brian Williams is a career hotelier who has worked in the luxury hotel market on four continents over the last thirty years. He spent a significant period of his earlier career at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, holding General Management positions at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, The Ritz London and the Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park London, before becoming Vice President of Development EMEA. Prior to joining Swire Hotels, he was the CEO of The Scotsman Hotel Group.

PETER WYNNE

Area General Manager - Beijing

Peter’s first assignment after graduating from Bournemouth University was at Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, initially as Resident Manager and later as General Manager. He has over 20 years of experience in the industry since settling in Asia, primarily with unique operations including Aman Resorts and Taj Hotels. Before joining Swire Hotels, Peter opened the Raffles Beijing for the 2008 Olympic Games. Peter was previously the General Manager, Projects and Developments, Swire Hotels Asia.

DEAN WINTER

Area General Manager - Hong Kong

Dean’s 20 years of senior management experience includes stints in London, Hong Kong and Singapore. A former Director of Food and Beverage with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, he was also General Manager of Conran Restaurants, London, from 1999-2001. Prior to joining Swire Hotels, Dean was the Executive Assistant Manager at Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, responsible for overseeing its renovation prior to re-opening in 2006.

Dominic Purvis

Director of Sales & Marketing, Hotels & Restaurants

Since joining the Swire Group in 1989, Dominic has held a number of roles at Swire Properties and Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong, India and Germany, focusing largely on marketing, customer experience and eCommerce. He joined Swire Hotels in September 2012 where he is responsible for marketing, sales and distribution for the hotels and for the development of standalone restaurants. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Dominic was educated in the UK and the USA and holds an MA from the University of Oxford.

JONATHAN DAWSON

Operations Director, Swire Hotels UK

Jonathan has worked in the hotel industry for over 20 years and has experience in both urban and country house hotels. He first became General Manager with Virgin Hotels and went on to manage some of the UK’s most prestigious country house hotels. In 2002, Jonathan moved back into managing urban properties at the 5 star Scotsman Hotel in Edinburgh before joining Swire Hotels in 2007 to head up its UK hotel operations.

FANNY WONG

Head of Finance, Swire Hotels

Fanny Wong has been Head of Finance for Swire Hotels since January 2011 and is responsible for finance & accounting, purchasing and e-services for Swire Hotels in Hong Kong, China and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Swire Hotels, she was the CFO of AkzoNobel, the world's largest paints and coatings manufacturer, where she spent 11 years in a variety of strategic positions both in different business units and within the Group's Treasury Department.

ROBERT LITTLE

Finance Director, Swire Hotels

A qualified Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience, Rob qualified with a small accountancy practice in Bristol, before moving onto large company audits with Coopers & Lybrand in New Zealand. Following his return to the UK, Rob joined Alias Hotels as Financial Controller and became Finance Director in 2004. Rob is now Finance Director of Swire Hotels UK.

CLARE LAVERTY

Director of Brand Communications, Swire Hotels

Originally from the advertising industry, Clare began her career with Lowe + Partners and RKCR/Y&R in London, working on several high profile accounts such as Unilever and Marks & Spencer. In October 2007 Clare moved to Hong Kong to join Swire Hotels, where she oversees all brand-related development and marketing including advertising, public relations and customer relationship management for Swire Hotels Asia.

ANNE ALLIN

Head of Marketing, Swire Hotels UK

Anne has over 20 years of experience in the marketing industry, where she began her career working for Bart Spices before moving to Leaf Confectionery as Trade Marketing Manager and Marketing Controller for several industry-leading companies. She gained her first experience of marketing in the hotel industry with the opening of Alias Hotels. Anne has been with Swire Hotels since 2006 and is responsible for the development of the Chapter Hotels brand.

Barry Watson

General Manager, The Montpellier Chapter

Prior to joining Chapter Hotels, Barry was the General Manager of Hotel Seattle in Brighton, where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s operations. Previously, Barry held the position of Regional Sales Manager with Big Sleep Hotels and also acted as General Manager at the Cheltenham & Gloucester Moat House Hotel, Sheffield Moat House Hotel and Winchester Moat House Hotel.

Fiona Moores

General Manager, The Magdalen Chapter

After gaining her BA in Hospitality Management in Galway, Ireland, Fiona’s 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry began in Long Island New York, before she moved to The Copthorne Hotel in Gatwick. She was later Deputy General Manager at the Jury’s Hotel in Bristol and then Catering Manager at Exeter University. Before joining Swire Hotels, Fiona was General Manager of the Hotel Barcelona in Exeter.

Mark Passmore

General Manager, Headland Hotel

Prior to arriving at the Headland Hotel, Mark joined Swire Hotels in 2007 as the General Manager of the Avon Gorge Hotel in Bristol. A graduate of the University of Gloucestershire, Mark previously held the position of Deputy General Manager at the Hotel Seattle in Brighton and has worked in numerous roles with Alias Hotels throughout the UK.
