Celebrated Chef Gray Kunz Returns to Hong Kong Opening ‘Café Gray Deluxe’ at The Upper House
(Hong Kong, May 20, 2009) – Following sustained acclaimation in New York, Chef Gray Kunz returns to Hong Kong to open Café Gray Deluxe at The Upper House, a small luxury hotel managed and operated by Swire Hotels, in October 2009.
The “21st century grand café” overlooking Victoria Harbour from the 49th rooftop floor of the hotel at Pacific Place in Admiralty, will be a long-awaited dynamic addition to the Hong Kong restaurant scene.
Gray Kunz first came to the attention of Hong Kong gourmets in the 1980s, heading the iconic Plume restaurant at The Regent. Over the past 20 years in New York, he has been acclaimed as one of America’s most outstanding and celebrated chefs - earning a maximum four stars by the New York Times at Lespinasse and awarded a Michelin star at Café Gray, at the Time Warner Center.
